Mavs Fall Short, But Irving Urges Fans to Stay Positive The Dallas Mavericks' championship dreams ended on Monday night after a 106-88 loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Despite the disappointing finish, Kyrie Irving took a moment to encourage the team's fans.
In a message directed to the fanbase he called the "Tribe," Irving emphasized unity and perseverance. He acknowledged the challenges, saying, "Through the ups and downs, wins and losses, success and failure," but urged fans to maintain their pride: "Keep your head up high.
 

" Irving's message highlighted his belief that the team's journey was bigger than just the Finals result. He concluded by expressing his appreciation for the fans' support: "This mission is bigger than us. 
 

I love you all!" While Irving's scoring wasn't at its peak in Game 5, he did contribute with 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 9 assists. Reports also mentioned him congratulating his former Celtics teammates and coaches, showcasing sportsmanship despite the loss.
